About Julia

Julia Shelzi, LCSW

Julia Shelzi graduated from New York University’s Silver School with a Masters degree in Social Work. Her goal is to create a safe relational environment where the brave work of acknowledging, and rewriting old patterns can occur. This process, she believes, is foundational to meaningful healing and self-actualization. Throughout her clinical career, she has seen success in working with children and adults with various experiences of trauma, depression, growing through relational struggles, and navigating life transitions. However, her scope of knowledge spans many individuals outside of those specialties.  She works with each person to uncover and address underlying issues, build resilience, and foster a deeper sense of fulfillment.

In her practice, she utilizes Internal Family Systems (IFS) to help clients understand and integrate their internal parts, facilitating a greater sense of self and healing. She incorporate somatic healing and mindfulness to address the mind-body connection, enabling clients to release stored tension and trauma that may be impacting their lives.
